Richard W. Springwaldt of Westbrookville, a skilled tool and die maker and owner/operator of Westbrook Wire Technology in Wurtsboro, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 doing what he loved. He was 63. The son of Joan Fallon Springwaldt and the late Otto Springwaldt, he was born February 4, 1953 in Paterson, NJ. He is survived by his wife Deb, at home; his mother Joan of Wayne, NJ; a son Rick & his wife Anna of Westbrookville; a daughter Jen & her husband Tom of Westbrookville; six grandchildren who he adored: Michael, Amanda, Ashley, Alyssa, Julia and Aliya; a sister: Kathleen Gibbons & her husband Brad of Wayne, NJ; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends. A loving father, son, and grandfather, he was also a lifetime member of the Red Barn Hunting Club. Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, September 10 from 1:00 to 3:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. A prayer service will be held at approximately 2pm at the funeral home. Arrangements under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home of Wurtsboro.
