Obituary of Arthur R. Mapledoram

Arthur Mapledoram of Monticello passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday June 29th, 2016 at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. Arthur was a resident of Monticello where he raised a family and worked as a Career Firefighter in Monticello for 24 years. Arthur leaves behind his: wife Sue Mapledoram, his sons Kelly Atkins, Terry Atkins and wife Cynthia, Thad Mapledoram and wife Rachel, his sister Marie Foss and her family, Grandchildren Erin Atkins and Miguel Santiago, Meaghan Atkins, Corey Atkins and Alyssa Conrad, Ryan Atkins his great grandchildren, Tyler ,Riley, Quinn, Mason, Sage and Shaleigh. As well as, Steve and Tony Dworetsky and their families. Arthur is predeceased by his parents, Fred and Mary Sarchek Mapledoram He was a life member of the Monticello Fire Department for fifty years and a fourteen year member of the Monticello BPOE 1544. Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, July 1 from 1-3pm and 6-8 at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. BPOE Lodge 1544 will conduct services on Friday at 7pm followed by Firematic Services. The Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 2 at 11am at VanInwegen Funeral Home in Monticello.
