Obituary of Ann Marie Louise Clemente

Ann Marie Louise Clemente (née Fadule), born February 23, 1941 in Shenandoah, PA, a resident of White Lake, NY, passed away on January 6, 2015 in Manhattan. An attorney, she served for many years as a senior law clerk in the New York State Supreme Court in Brooklyn, where her late husband, Hon. Nicholas A. Clemente, served as a Supreme Court Justice. When she retired, she and Justice Clemente moved permanently to their home on Black Lake where she focused on art, nature, and family. Justice Clemente continued to serve in the Supreme Court as Justice and then Judicial Hearing Officer, and so together they remained active in the Sullivan County legal community. She holds a BA in Psychology from Brooklyn College and a JD from St. John's University. She is survived by son Nicholas, daughter-in-law Stacey Mayer, and grandchildren Julian and Sebastian; daughter Claudia, son-in-law Gregorio Gonzalez, and grandchildren Aurelio and Gracián; brother James Fadule and sister-in-law June Fadule; brother John Fadule; sister-in-law Dolores Clemente; sister-in-law Marie Mangione and brother-in-law Louis Mangione. She will be missed by many. A viewing will be held at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway, Monticello, NY on Saturday, January 10th from 12pm-2pm; a funeral mass will follow at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Broadway and Liberty Street in Monticello at 2:30pm.
