It is with great sadness that I type this right now. My big brother, my Mom's first born and the one who I always looked up to growing up is gone....words can not express how I feel right now...my only solace is knowing that Mom has met you on the other side. John...no matter how many years, differences or miles were in between us, I will always love you and never forget how for 13 years we shared a room, donned with all you pictures of your favorite bands KISS and The Charlie Daniel's Band, the old stereo that sat under our bedroom window, complete with all your vinyl records from Journey, RUSH, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and 38 Special, your drum kit that sat in between our closets, later moved to the basement that I still have a picture of me behind it...I'm probably no more then 4 in it. I'll remember how you would lay your socks and sneakers out by your bed, in case you got a fire call in the middle of the night...I did the same thing when I became a firefighter, learning those get dressed quick techniques from you....maybe that's why I got in to music, and in turn EMS...because of you...I did things that you did so you'd be proud of me..but in hind sight, it was me, your little brother who was proud of you. So between that, and you taking care of every bully I ever encountered when I was little, I never said thank you, I never said a lot of things..and for the that I'm sorry. Wherever you are right now...I hope you know that I love you. I always loved you.

Uncle John, or UB as you were lovingly known as in my house, for more than 2 years, nothing made me laugh and smile more, than seeing you walk in the back door, and ask Nicholas, "How's Chicky?" and before going downstairs to pass out watching AxMen, telling him to "Tell Chicky UB's comin', and give her a quarter to go down town and have a rat gnaw that thing off her face". You were taken from us way too soon, but its memories like that, that will live on in our hearts forever. I know though that between you and Grandma, heaven will now have the best Christmas Eve dinners ever, to go with the best meatballs.I'm not saying goodbye, because you always said "See ya later". We love you UB, Ciao

UB, you left us way to soon. We will miss you more that you could ever imagine. Thank you for being there for Maria and the kids. All of us grew alot closer in the last few years. I could not have asked for a kinder or more thoughtful brother-in-law and "bad influence" for my children. How many times have I had to say "Don't listen to UB". I only wish they could have had many more years of your wisdom. Your early departure leaves an unfillable void in our family. Rest in peace UB.

It has taken me three days to find the right words - and nothing I can say seems right for the loss of a nephew. The one thing I find comfort in is knowing you are now with your Mom and Grandma Esposito - who I know loved you more than words can say. Be at peace - love you.
