Robert L. Vreeland Sr., 84, passed away in Dade City, Florida on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 with his family at his side. He was born September 10, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY to Henry "Les" and Ruth Gillmore Vreeland. Bob lived 17 years in Wurtsboro, then 47 years in Port Hueneme, CA. He spent the last 4 years in San Antonio, Florida. During his working years he worked at Master Rule in Middletown, Stewart Air Force Base in Newburgh, and a foreman at Navy Printing and Publication, Point Mugu, CA. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Ann, a daughter Barbara Hillebrand, and a son Bobby Vreeland.
Family & friends are invited to gather on Saturday, December 11 from 11:00am to 12:00 noon at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. A graveside service and burial will follow at approx 12:00 noon at the Sylvan Cemetery, Route 209 in Wurtsboro.
