Lee,
You were not only my older brother but my best friend growing up through the years. You were always there when I needed you the most. As we grew up and moved further apart, you were always the one I called when I needed advice. I miss you so much and wish you were here. The memories I have of you will be with me always. I know that you are still with me and watching over me (just in a different way) but it just isn't the same. I love you and think of you often.
Love,
Judi Ann

Dear Lee,
I only had the great pleasure of meeting you a few times but you made a lasting memory from those visits when you came to my parents Ray & Gertie Cross' house. You always had good stories to tell and seemed to be an authentic individual. We both came from two very large and related families in Sullivan Co but never really met until you move to FL. Your short stay on earth left a lot of unfinished works and friends behind. To all your friends and family, you are in Gods deep embrace now and forever. Say hello to my little sister Roxane and give her a hug for all us. Ren

Lee was such a great friend...I will never forget how we wrote letters to congress...his visit to see me in North Carolina...the time we spent to together after my daughter was born and most of all for being the most terrific friend that anyone could ever have. I wish we had the chance to say hello before saying goodbye...I just hope that one day we'll meet again... To all Lee's friends and family your in my prayers and may God give you the strength to endure...You may be gone but never to be forgotten dearest friend.

I have two 'favorite' memories of Lee. The first one is of him telling me the story about getting his drivers license. It's too long to write here...but he had the entire Social Studies class laughing hysterically. The 2nd one is when Lee decided to become a salesman...for Kerby vacuums. He BEGGED me to ask my parents let him do his presentation. He did, and he sold his first Kerby to my gullable mom. But, we weren't done...Lee, Elyse and myself took advantage of every friend we had (actually, their parents). We had so much fun that night, lots of laughs. You couldn't be in a bad mood if Lee was around. He definitely left an impression in my heart.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.... I knew Lee just about my whole life as our families were very good and close friends. He was always a sweet person and great artist. So sad that he had to leave Earth at a young age. He will always be remembered....

I had the absolute pleasure of knowing and working with Lee when I was in the Monticello area. What a wonderful employee he was. What a wonderful FRIEND he was. I had the privilege of viewing much of his artwork and even at that young age, his talent was obvious ! A quality man both inside and out. Rest in peace dear friend !

Lee and I were friends back in the 90s and I just found out about his passing. Lee was such a kind nd and wonderful soul. His greatest joy was making others feel included and welcome. He often spoke of his family and tell stories of growing up it was obvious how much he loved his family. The world has truly lost a bright and shining star. The funny thing is for the past five or six years I’ve been trying to reconnect with Lee searching on social media looking through the white pages. That’s how I finally found out he had passed. My biggest regret is not trying earlier. Lee I miss you and think of you often❤️❤️
