Michael John Dickman, 37 of Pleasant Valley, New York sang his last song on April 24th 2020 in Poughkeepsie New York. Born August 27th 1982 to John and Maureen Dickman in Mt. Kisco New York, Michael was a brilliant student and outstanding percussionist beginning drumming at 3 years of age. Graduated Mahopac High School. He went on to receive his associate’s degree from Westchester Community College and his Bachelors from SUNY Plattsburgh. Employed by Taconic DDSO and a member of CSEA, Michael had a genuine love of people. His kindness and love for others less fortunate or in need was a quality admired by all. His love of music was his passport to life bringing him to countless concerts and jams. From churches to the stage to back yard barbecues Michael always brought the music with him. He loved the outdoors and shared his passion with his three children and any of us with him on spontaneous hikes. Michael loved his family deeply and enjoyed any opportunity to bring the extended family together. He had gift for bringing laughter to any occasion with his wit and humor. He will be deeply missed by his adoring family, many friends and the lives he touched along his way. Survived by his parents John and Maureen Dickman, his grandfather Louis Carpentieri, daughter Liberty Sabina Dickman, wife Samantha Dickman, their children Violet Simone Dickman, Luke Boas Dickman, brothers Thomas and Steven Dickman and his hamster Mr. Snuggles. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers Kathryn and Julia and his Grandpa Otto. His uncles Robert, Jimmy, Erich, Tommy Dickman; George and Ray Carpentieri. His cousins Joseph and Charles Dickman. A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at a later date.
