LOVE LIVES ON
Author: ~ Amanda Bradley ~
Those we love are never really lost to us--
we feel them in so many special ways--
through friends they always cared about
and dreams they left behind,
in beauty that they added to our days...
in words of wisdom we still carry with us
and memories that never will be gone...
Those we love
are never really lost to us--
for everywhere their special love lives on.

I remember the first time I met Mike. He parked a huge tow truck in his driveway overnight. Being I was his new neighbor he didn’t want to cause any problems. He came over to my house to explain he was in the used truck business located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn where I was born and raised. He on his way to pickup a truck he bought the day before and overnight truck parking in his driveway would not be a frequent occurrence. Little did he know I only wished he would let me drive it? I liked Mike and that was a beginning of would turn out be a great friendship. Many a Friday night Mike & I would end the week and usher in the weekend with some home made red and assorted antipastos. We talked about everything, politics, religion, life, our work and our lives. I considered Mike my brother as well as my friend and confidant. His kids grew up with mine, our wives are friends and that strong relationship between our families remains to this day. Mike was a straight shooter; a good man and a great friend. Mike I’ll miss you!
