My condolences to the family! I remember well the summer of 1964 when John worked hard to perfect his jump shot on the old Central Valley tennis courts and then became a star on MWs championship basketball team. We lost a heartbreaker in the section finals because John was out with appendicitis. John was also the only one who could tolerate Mrs. Spevak. That guaranteed him a good place in the hereinafter. My best to Karenp9r6g and the Chief. Lots of great memories of growing up in Central Valley.

I am saddened to hear that John has passed away.
I worked with John in Lloyd’s Pharmacy as a pharmacy intern. John was devoted to his profession and his community. He would often talk about his experiences as an EMT. John was the most efficient pharmacist I worked with. No matter how busy it was in Lloyd’s, John was able to keep wait times at a minimum.
John personally took me under his wing as a pharmacy intern. He would always leave the compounded prescription orders for me to do when I worked the evenings. He would also show me examples of things I needed to know, especially when it pertained to pharmacy law and pharmacy calculations. John would have his quiz questions ready for me when I came to work. I remember taking my Pharmacy Board Exam and some of John’s questions we’re on the exam. I remember telling him about it, and thanking him for helping me pass my boards.
I also had the honor of fishing with John. He was by far the best fisherman I had ever seen. The fish at Wolf Lake will miss him!!
Rest In Peace John. Thank you for setting such a great example in my early years as a pharmacist.
Sincerely,
John Battiato

What wonderful growing up memories I have of John! He was so very great at math & basketball, but never let it go to his head. Years later he turned out to be my pharmacist at Lloyd's! John was a quiet fellow, who got jobs done! God Blessed our part of the world & we shall miss him.

I was saddened to hear of the passing of my Uncle Johnny. I have nothing but great memories of all my visits to his home. Wolf Lake was a wonderful place to spend time as a child. From swimming in the lake to riding four wheelers through the woods. It was always a great time. My condolences to the rest of the family.

I am so sorry to hear that John has passed. Much too young for sure.
I worked with John at Lloyds Pharmacy as an intern and pharmacist . He was a pleasure to be around and was an excellent pharmacist. More importantly, I even fished with him a few times. He was the best bass fisherman I have ever been with. He could catch a fish out of an empty bathtub.
My sincere condolences to the family.
