Obituary of Arthur F. Stout

Arthur F. Stout of Middletown, a retired Occupational Therapist at Orange Regional Medical Center, died Thursday, June 29, 2017 at St. Joseph's Kindred Hospital in Wayne, NJ. He was 68. The son of the late Frederick J. Stout Jr. and Alice VanSyckle Stout, he was born September 10, 1948 in Nyack. Arthur received his B.S. degree from The University of NY and his M.S. degree from NY Medical College. He was involved with the Audubon and various OT Associations. He adored being around kids, having dedicated to working with kids with disabilities. He loved outdoor activities such as fishing, birdwatching and photography. He also took pleasure in drawing, playing piano, and being on his Kindle. He is survived by his wife: Patricia Melito Stout, at home; two sons: Thomas Stout of Binghamton, and Michael Stout & his wife Julianne of Scottsdale, AZ; a daughter: Aimee Stout of Middletown; five grandchildren; a brother: Robert Stout & his wife Maryann of the state of Florida; four sisters: Mary Osborne & her husband George, Ellen Stout, Dolores Lynch, all of Bloomingburg, and Helen Rodriguez & her husband Jay of Dingmans Ferry; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two nephews: Frank Call and George Osborne Jr. Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, July 5 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. His funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 6 at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Bloomingburg Rural cemetery.
