Obituary of Russell "Rusty" C. Loomis III

Russell Claude Loomis III "Rusty", a former resident of Wurtsboro, died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 12, 2017 in Greentown, PA. He was 21. The son of Russell C. Loomis Jr. and Dianne M. Schofield Czahor, he was born September 11, 1995 in Goshen. Rusty was a former active member of the Wurtsboro community, especially St. Joseph's Catholic Church where he was an altar server and helper for several years. Rusty's infectious smile and bright blue eyes could light up even the darkest of days. He was giving, caring, gentle and kind and left an indelible impression on every life he touched. He is survived by his mother: Dianne Czahor & her husband Michael of Tafton, PA; his father Russell Loomis Jr. and partner, Dina Tuntigian of Wurtsboro; a son: Troy Talbot Loomis-Regelski; two brothers: Trevor and Scott Loomis; two sisters: Alexis & Christina Loomis; and his grandmother, Judy Loomis of Kingston. Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, February 16 from 5-8pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 17 at 10:30am at St. Joseph's Church, 180 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with Fr. Peter Madori officiating.
