Obituary of Beatrice D. Bruce

Beatrice "Bea" Bruce entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at her home in Monticello at the age of 60. She was born to the late Glenis Parker and Johnny Jefferson in Miami, FL on August 24, 1952. She leaves to cherish in her loving memories, three daughters: April C. Bruce of Hudson, FL, Kimberly A. Bruce of Katonah and Candice L. Brooks of Monticello; two stepdaughters: Dreena and Dina Tomlinson; a stepson: James "Bug" Tomlinson; her pets: Prince and Co-Co; three brothers: Johnny Jefferson, and William & Walter Brooks; five sisters: Elaine Sanders;, Cynthia Demps (Reginald), Ruby Brooks, Barbara Adside and Mary Scott; ten grandchildren: James, Kevin, Blake, Amanda, Kristina, Christopher, Ashanti, Kasiah, Ahkeelah and Kierra; a great grandson: Xavion; and special nieces and nephews: Deborah Jefferson, Katrina Brooks, Wayne Walker; and a host of other relatives. She was predeceased by her adopted mother: sister Lena Brooks; her siblings: Ellis and Mark Jefferson, Ida Brooks and Mabel Harris; and her companion for over 20 years Stewart Malachi. Family & friends are invited to gather on Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1 from 4-7pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello.
