Dorothy Davis of Liberty, a retired alcohol & drug counselor at Woodbourne Correctional Facility, died Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. She was 78.
The daughter of the late Marion Davis and Lula Reese, she was born December 31, 1937 in New York City.
She is survived by a son, Joseph Davis & his wife Beverly of Detroit, MI; a brother: Tony Randolph of Michigan; a sister: Marian Joyner of New York City and Joanie "Grandma Rap" Stringer of Detroit, MI; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters: Eleanor and Doris; and two brothers: Richard & Joseph.
Family & friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, January 3 from 2-3pm at the VanInwegen Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello with a memorial service starting at 3pm.
Memorial contributions can be made to Catholic Charities (formerly The Recovery Center) in Monticello.
