Jose A. Fernandez of Greenfield Park, a retired maintenance worker for Tesa Tape in Middletown, died Sunday, November 27, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh. He was 75.
The son of the late Juan Fernandez and Ernestina Sosa Matamoros, he was born November 18, 1941 in San Jose, Costa Rica.
He is survived by his wife Nora, at home; a son: Jose Fernandez Jr. & his wife Xiomara of Queens; two daughters: Anayancy Fernandez & her husband Luis Mora of Queens, and Andrea Fernandez & her husband David Ottosen of London, England; four grandchildren: Kayla, Luis, Joseph Jr. and Benjamin; and his brothers and sisters in Costa Rica.
Family & friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, November 30 from 12:00 – 2:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. His funeral service will start at 2pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello.
