Dawn Marie LaRusso died Saturday, October 29, 2016 at her home in Monticello surrounded by her family. She was 47.
The daughter of Cynthia Marie Nelson LaRusso and the late Patrick W. LaRusso Sr., she was born in the Bronx on May 6, 1969.
Dawn was a loving mom, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt, who was always smiling. She loved the sun and the beach (but not the sand), fishing with her brothers, family dinner and family time, and getting her hair and nails done with her sister.
She is survived by her two sons: Dominic LaRusso and his wife, Amanda and Joseph Monforte and his fiance, Katelynn; a grandson, Grant LaRusso; her mother, Cynthia LaRusso; a sister, Michelle LaRusso; three brothers: Christopher LaRusso and his wife, Robin, Patrick LaRusso Jr., and Anthony LaRusso and his wife, Victoria; nieces: Amanda, Nicole, Alyssa and Kara; nephews Christopher, Jonathan, Tony, Scott, Frankie and Freddie; and a great niece Adrianna.
Family and friends are invited to gather from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1 at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 264 North Main Street in Liberty with Fr. William Scafidi officiating.
