I am Tommy's daughter Lisa. We have not spoke in many years through no fault of my own. I wanted to continue a relationship with my father and gave him many opportunities. Finally I sent one last letter (twice) and told him that I understood if he only had time for his new family and that if I did not hear from him I would leave him alone. Well almost 30 years later it still hurts to find out that the man you once called Daddy has passed. I am so sorry for his family's loss and hope you have enjoyed many a precious memory with my dad.
Rest in Peace Dad
Love your daughter
Lisa

i was so sorry to read about Tommy. I knew the Hickman family well, as they worked on our vehicles. I hadn't seen any of them in years but when I did, Tommy always remembered who I was. My prayers are with his family for this horrible loss;

Tom and I served together at Schofield Barracks and in Vietnam. We fought side by side in Vietnam until I left in April of 1968. We lost contact after that but I never forgot him. When we were reunited at our Army reunion about three years ago our friendship reunited as well. I consider Tom one of my best friends and have felt that in our numerous phone conversations over the past three years. The bond that we all had as soldiers will never be forgotten or broken. God bless the family and may the peace of the Lord always be with you!
