Obituary of Izetta Huchital

Izetta Huchital, a former longtime resident of Wurtsboro, died Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the Park Manor in Middletown. She was 96. The daughter of the late Samuel McVicker and Izetta Bean McVicker, she was born April 6, 1920 in Rowlesburg, West Virginia. She was the widow of Eugene Huchital. Izetta was a graduate of the Fairmont Business College in Fairmont, West Virginia. After marrying Gene she moved to Brooklyn, NY where she later was employed by the former Kings Highway savings bank in the new accounts department. She retired as an office of the bank after twenty years of service and moved to Wurtsboro permanently in 1984. She was a former member of the Mamakating Lioness Club, former committee person for the Mamakating Republican Club, former President of the P.T.A. at Public School 197-Brooklyn, and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was predeceased bu six brothers: Pershing, Mack, George, Noah, Donald and Paul; and by two sisters: Gladys and Rosie. She is survived by two sons: David A. Huchital & his wife Marsha of Middletown, and Michael A. Huchital of Wurtsboro; her grandchildren: Adam, Eric, Michael & James; great grandchildren: Owen, Helen, Brody, Asher & Reed; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial visitation will be held on Monday, October 17 from 5-7pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. A memorial service will begin at 7pm at the funeral home. Interment of her ashes will be held privately at the convenience of the family at the Sylvan Cemetery in Wurtsboro. Memorial contributions can be made to the Wurtsboro Fire Dept, P.O.
