Obituary of Andrew C. Yacenda

Andrew C. Yacenda of Wurtsboro, the retired co-owner of the Coffee Warehouse in Mountaindale, died Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. He was 72. The son of the late Peter M. Yacenda and Anna Potito Yacenda, he was born September 14, 1943 in Brooklyn. He was the widower of Virginia Chambers Yacenda, who predeceased him on December 24, 2013. Andy was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wurtsboro where he was a member of the Holy Name Society. He is survived by two daughters: Lynda Scocozza & her husband Fred of Chester, and Donna Hartsell & her husband Derek of Woodbourne; a son: Steven Yacenda & his wife Julie of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren: Salvatore, Joseph, Nathan, Samuel and Stella Anna; and his first wife Connie Yacenda of Monroe. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 5 at 10:30am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 180 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with Fr. Peter Madori officiating. Interment of his ashes will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Wurtsboro.
