Obituary of John H. Williams

Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John H. Williams, a longtime resident of Sullivan County, went home to be with The Lord on August 5, 2016 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center after a long battle with Cancer. He was 65. John was born to the late Dorothy Williams-Briggs in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn NY on February 13, 1951. He relocated to Sullivan County in the late 1980's and was employed at Sullivan ARC from 1988 until his retirement in 2015. He was a kind and loving person with a larger than life heart and a huge sense of humor which will be missed dearly. John leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 22 years Debora L. Davis of Monticello NY, brother David Williams of Brooklyn NY, sister in law Angelique T. Brown of Monticello NY; his beloved dog Stefan; as well as a host of cousins and friends. His presence will be missed; however his memory will never be forgotten. We would like to extend our thanks to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties for their support and compassion in John's final days. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the family will be greatly appreciated. Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, August 8 from 4:00 to 6:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Arrangements are under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home of Monticello.
