Obituary of Giovanna Castiglione

Giovanna "Joann" Castiglione, a food service employee for the Pine Bush School District for 29 years, died Saturday, June 4, 2016 at her home in Montgomery. She was 65.
The daughter of the late Joseph Graffeo and Maria Mondagnino Graffeo, she was born January 25, 1951 in Sicily, Italy.
She is survived by her husband: Angelo, at home; three sons: Lenny Castiglione & his wife Mitzi of Tampa, FL, Joseph Castiglione & his wife Tammy of Goshen and Daniele Castiglione and (Amber) of Middletown; a grandson: Georgio; three sisters: Stefana Sclafani of Brooklyn, Caterina Gangi of Brooklyn, and Filomena Mandala of Palermo, Italy; several nieces and nephews; and especially her close friends from work.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by Teresa Graffeo, Michel Graffeo, Liboria Sabella and Calogero Graffeo.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, June 8 from 1:00pm to 2:30pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Her funeral service will then be held at 2:30pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery.
