Obituary of Robert J. Forgione

Robert James Forgione, a retired auto parts manager, died Thursday, February 4, 2016, after a brief illness at his home in Loch Sheldrake. He was 63. The son of Margaret Martin McLaughlin and the late James Forgione, he was born November 8, 1952 in New York City. Robert was a good friend and neighbor and was always willing to help others when they asked. He was well loved by his family and his wife who was devoted to him during 35 years of marriage. He adored his grandchildren and deeply loved his children and his wife. He is survived by his wife: Maxine, at home; a son: Robert of Loch Sheldrake; three daughters: Lisa Beth King of California, Keri Scott of the state of Florida, and Kim Doster of Loch Sheldrake; grandchildren: Alysha, Leah, Savannah, Skyler, Joseph, Jason, Krystle and Jaclyn; great grandchildren: Anaya and Jameelah; his mother: Margaret of New York City; a niece: Colleen, a great nephew: Kevin and daughters-in-law Jessica and Heather. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by three brothers: Billy, Danny and Jimmy; and a sister: Kathleen. Family & friends are invited to gather on Thursday, February 11 from 7-8pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. His funeral service will begin at 8pm at the funeral home.
