Obituary of Richard F. Parsells

Richard Parsells of Monticello passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center. He was 74.
Richard was the son of the late Fred Parsells Jr. and Irene Brusle, born on May 23, 1941 in Englewood, NJ.
He was an active member of the horse racing community, spending most of his time as a trainer in Monticello, NY.
Richard is survived by his sons Kevin Parsells of Arizona, Brian Parsells and wife Jenny of Ohio, and Logan Parsells and his wife Cori of New York; three grandchildren; two brothers Frederick Parsells and wife Karen of New Hampshire, Donald Parsells and wife Karen of Florida; and former wife Jane McDevitt of California. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his wife Jacqueline Schiff.
A memorial celebration will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 12pm noon at Roark's Tavern in Monticello, NY. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Richard's life.
