Obituary of Henry J. Parthesius

Henry J. "Henny" Parthesius of Wurtsboro died suddenly after a short illness on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. He was 72. The son of the late Henry A. Parthesius and Dorothy Brown Parthesius, he was born January 15, 1944 in Queens. Henry was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and shooting. He was a wonderful family man who will be loved, cherished and remembered, forever and always, by all who knew him. He is survived by his fiancé: Colleen Boswell, at home; his son: Henry Parthesius & his wife Lourdes; three grandchildren: Santos, Henry and Melanie; three stepdaughters: Brittany Poindexter & her husband William, Lindsay Mann & her husband Christopher, and Naomi Davidson; eleven additional grandchildren: Tricia, Tonya, Tara, Samuel, Tasha, William, Trista, Christopher, Trina, Austin and Noah; nephew: Robert (Jill) and great niece Danielle. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother: Robert. Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, January 28 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. His funeral service will be held on Friday, January 29 at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Sylvan Cemetery in Wurtsboro.
