Arthur L. Coney Jr. of Mongaup Valley, a retired building maintenance mechanic for the County of Sullivan, died Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. HHHkmsmkscv ljn ce was 74. The son of the late Arthur L. Coney Sr. and Alice Starr Coney, he was born January 3, 1941 in Monticello. He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Marjorie Kistner Coney, at home; his sister: Carol Jean McArthur & her husband Stanley of Vero Beach, Florida; two daughters: April Coney McBride of Mongaup Valley, and Cindy Coney VanArsdall (George) of Woodbourne; eight grandchildren: Christopher McBride, Jonathan Coney, Ricky Cabrera Jr., Joey Cabrera (Jennifer), Randy Cabrera (Erica), Tiffany Cabrera, Kyle Hughes and Brett Hughes; three great grandchildren: Jorden Haupt, Jessie Haupt-Cabrera and Sean Belanchia. He is further survived by his sister-in-law: Marilyn Clark of Rock Hill; two nieces: Deborah Clark of the state of Florida and Theresa Clark Lembitz & her husband Alan of Superior, Colorado; and nephew Scott Clark & his wife Stacy of Matthews, North Carolina. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a nephew: Kenneth W. Bivins Jr. Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Pet Therapy Program at Orange Regional Medical Center, 707 East Main Street, Middletown, NY 10940.
