David Stephan Nagy of Suffern, a retired processor for Avon Cosmetics, died Friday, September 4th, 2015, surrounded by family at the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. He was 84. The son of the late Stephan Nagy and Margaret Jackson Nagy, he was born June 11th, 1931 in Brooklyn. He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Goodman and husband Peter and grandchildren Peter and Rebecca, of Wurtsboro, his sister Helen Smith and husband Walter, of Monroe, his nephew Jeff Smith and wife Carol of Modena, his niece Gail Jackson and her husband Rick of Goshen, his niece Sue Cozart of Monroe, his niece Steph Hiner and husband Chris of Monroe, his nephew Michael Minnies and his partner Randy Beyea of Ithaca, his nephew Parish Minnies of Newburgh, his niece Robin Minnies and her daughter Maggie Malone of Stony Point, his nephew Sean Minnies and his wife, Jennifer, and children Justin, John, Jake, and Joseph of Central Valley and his niece Kelly Brush of Haverstraw. Dave loved all his nieces, nephews and grandchildren as his own children. Dave was like a loving grandfather to any child he encountered. Dave loved music of all types, photography, and old movies. He was always quick to share whatever he had with those around him and was passionate about good food, especially hot dogs and mac and cheese and a cup of coffee! Dave was generous with his love and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th at 11:00am until 12:00 noon with a Memorial Service to follow at the Rock Hill Church of the Nazarene, 210 Katrina Falls Road in Rock Hill with Rev. Roy Shaffer officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Make-A-Wish Foundation. Arrangements under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc.
