Robert J. Jahn of Monticello, a retired self-employed painter, died Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. He was 80. The son of the late William Jahn and Viola Henke Jahn, he was born March 30, 1935 in Jersey City, NJ. Bob was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his wife: Susan, at home; a son: Robert Jahn & his wife Debbie of Sparrowbush; four daughters: Deborah Jahn of Syracuse, Donna Harmon of DeWitt, Tina Kiefer & her husband Howard of Monticello, and Gina Wells & her husband Gregg of Monticello; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a sister: Helen Wall & her husband Ben; a stepbrother: James O'Rourke; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother: Arthur; a sister: Carol Schoonmaker; a stepbrother: John; and his stepmother: Helen Jahn. Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, August 18 from 5-8pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello.
