Jerry Lee Herndon of Rock Hill, NY and Miami, FL died Thursday, August 6, 2015 in Miami, FL. He was 68. The son of the late Herschel and Lora Herndon, he was born on February 16, 1947 in Miami, FL.
Known affectionately as "Part-time", Lee was a member of the Rock Hill Fire Department for almost 25 years. He was a great loving, kind hearted person who adored his family.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years: Sherry; two daughters: Tara Harned & her husband John, and Jennifer O'Mara & her husband Mark; a granddaughter: Maggie, also known as "Scooter"; brother: Larry Herndon; and many other brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 16 at 2pm at the Rock Hill Fire House, 61 Glen Wild Road in Rock Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Rock Hill Fire Dept. P.O. Box 116, Rock Hill, NY 12775.
