Obituary of Rosalie M. Frasca
Please share a memory of Rosalie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Rosalie M. Frasca, (nee Bonsignore), of Bloomingburg died peacefully Saturday, August 8, 2015 with her loving sister, Annette by her side. The daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Bonsignore, she was born January 23, 1927 in the Bronx. Rosalie was a dedicated teacher of sewing in the New York City public school system for 30 years and in 1982 she and her late husband, Pat, retired together, and joined the Bloomingburg community.
Rosalie and Pat led active lives, contributing their time and energies to many organizations. She served as President and Treasurer of the Mamakating Lioness Club and chaired their annual Craft Fair and Golf Outing, named in memory of her late husband, Pat. Rosalie was ever present in the community, selling chocolate Easter Bunnies in Wurtsboro, working at the flea market and recruiting vendors and golfers to support the Lioness' fund raising activities. She was also an active member of the Wurtsboro Senior Citizens Center and organized the yearly trip to Mohegan Sun Casino.
Survived by her sister, Annette, Rosalie touched the lives of her family and friends in the way she lived her life, unselfishly and concerned about the well being of others. Survivors also include her brother-in law, Richard, nieces, Anne Marie (husband, Michael) Frances and Angela, her nephew Richard and her great nieces, Angela Christine and Emily Rosalie and her many friends and neighbors who she considered her extended family.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, August 11 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 12 at 11am at the Our Lady of the Assumption Church, High Street in Bloomingburg with Fr. Stephen Tran officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to a charity of one's choice.
Arrangements under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home of Wurtsboro. For additional information or to send an online condolence, please visit www.kennyfuneralhome.com .
