Obituary of Boris L. Pastorello

Boris L. Pastorello of Bloomingburg, a retired manager for New York Telephone, died with his family by his side Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. He was 82. The son of the late Salvatore Pastorello and Lena Ricotta Pastorello, he was born July 2, 1930 in New York, NY. A Korean War veteran of the United States Army, Boris was a member of the American Legion Post #1266, Mamakating, and the Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Bloomingburg. He is survived by his beloved children: Donna Marie Hulihan & her husband Kevin of Bloomingburg, Roseann Pastorello of Bloomingburg, Jean Pastorello of Bloomingburg, and Thomas L. Pastorello & his wife Sara of Monroe; his cherished grandchildren: Isabella Grace Hulihan, Keira Kathryn Hulihan, Carolyn Marie Hulihan and Anthony Lawrence Pastorello; and a devoted sister: Teresa Matrochano & her husband Raymond of Bloomingburg; and many adoring nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his loving wife Carol Ann Junge Pastorello and his beloved sister Rose M. DiIorio. Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, March 25 from 7-9pm and on Tuesday, March 26 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 27 at 10:30am at the Our Lady of the Assumption Church, High Street in Bloomingburg with Fr. Stephen Tran officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery.
