Obituary of Patricia Heid

Patricia Vivian Dorothy O'Brien Heid, 77, of Cochecton, NY passed away on June 5, 2015 at her home. Patricia was born in Brooklyn to Charles and Vivian O'Brien on November 11, 1937. She grew up in Brooklyn, raised her children in Queens, and upon retiring from her job in the Wall Street area, she built a house and moved next to her daughter Susan to be close to family, and to enjoy retirement. Patricia was a compassionate and wonderful mother and grandmother, and was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her daughter Susan Heid Drobysh and her two grandchildren: Joseph Drobysh and Kristen Drobysh Snyder, who were at her bedside with her when she passed peacefully; her brother Ronald O'Brien; and her son-in-law John Drobysh and grandson-in-law Johnathan Snyder. She is also survived by two daughters: Laura Heid Ramaglia & her husband Joe, and Kathy Heid Volpe & her husband Ray; and their children Joseph & Eric Ramaglia, Jesse Taylor and Amanda Volpe. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother Richard O'Brien; and her husband Alfred Heid. Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, June 6 from 1-3pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Her funeral service, including bagpipes, will be held at 3pm at the funeral home with Pastor Melvin Boone officiating.
