Ronald Raymond Scott of Bloomingburg, a retired technician for National Cash Register in Newburgh, died Friday, April 10, 2015 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. He was 72.
The son of the late Raymond Ronald Scott and Edna Courtwright Scott, he was born September 24, 1942 in Middletown.
In addition to being a veteran of the United States Navy, Ron was a former trustee and mayor of the Village of Bloomingburg, serving the village for over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia Conlon Scott, at home; a daughter: Donna Gillespie and a son-in-law: Patrick Gillespie, both of Pottsville, PA; a granddaughter: Kerry Gillespie & her companion Joshua Phelps of Bloomingburg; two great grandchildren: Ethan Phelps and Theodore Kern; a sister: Connie Alfano & her husband John of North Carolina; a sister-in-law: Diane Scott of Cornwall; and several nieces, nephews and his extended family. He was predeceased by a brother: Donald Scott.
As per his wishes, there will be no services.
