Dorothy G. "Doris" Roe of Bloomingburg, the former owner of the Bloomingburg Liquor Store, died Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. She was 81.
The daughter of the late James Donohue and Anna McMillen Donohue, she was born October 8, 1933 in Brooklyn. She was the widow of Frank V. Brophy, and later Duane B. Roe Sr.
Doris is survived by her son: Frank Brophy & his wife Michele of Bloomingburg; three grandchildren: Erin and Frankie Brophy, and Lindsay Roe; her stepchildren: Duane Jr., Elaine, Richie (Helen), Eileen, Judy and Frances; daughter-in-law: Marcelle; her siblings: Edna Brown, Anna Donohue, Charles Donohue, Barbara Donohue, Patrick Donohue, Roxanne Brooks and Judith Gueci; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by her siblings: George, James, Thomas, Marian, Mary and Robert.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, March 29 from 3-6pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, March 30 at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery
