Susan J. McCormick of Rock Hill, a homemaker and longtime resident of the area, died tragically on Saturday, March 14, 2015 in the Town of Thompson. She was 57. The daughter of the late Robert Williams and Clara Amarante, she was born May 28, 1957 in Hackensack, NJ. Known affectionately as "Ma", Sue was like a mother to many. She will be dearly missed by a lot of people, because she was a really nice woman. She loved 'I Love Lucy', gardening and the St. Patrick's Day Parade. She is survived by her husband: John A. "Jack" McCormick, at home; two sons: Donald McBride and Richard Bernstein; two granddaughters: Ciara and Marie; two brothers: Michael Williams and Robert C. Williams; a sister: Debbie Wright; two stepchildren: Kevin and Maureen; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 20 at 1:00pm at the Rock Hill Fire House, 61 Glen Wild Road in Rock Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Rock Hill Fire Dept.. P.O. Box 116, Rock Hill, NY 12775. Arrangements are under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc.
