Marie V. Gaffney, a retired keyboard specialist for the NYS Dept. of Labor in Monticello, died Sunday, March 1, 2015 at her home in Rock Hill. She was 73. The daughter of the late Charles Winkler and Mary Tantsits Winkler, she was born July 24, 1941 in Middletown. Marie was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and beloved sister. She is survived by her husband: Dennis R. Gaffney, at home; a daughter: Christine Halpin & her husband Andrew of Chester; two grandchildren: Colin and Shayla; a sister: Caroline Lyons of Monticello; and many cousins. Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, March 3 from 4-8pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. A Eucharistic Service will be held on Wednesday, March 4 at 11am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 180 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro.
