Obituary of Vincent John Ditto

Vincent John Ditto of Kiamesha Lake, a bus mechanic for the Manhattan and Bronx Transit Authority, died Sunday, January 25, 2014 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. He was 88.
The son of the late Mary and Phillip Ditto, he was born March 7, 1926 in Brooklyn. He was the widow of Rosemarie Ditto, who predeceased him on January 24, 2014. He was also a World War II veteran serving in the United States Navy.
He is survived by a son: Anthony Ditto and his wife Donna of Palm Bay, FL; two daughters: Lynda Ditto of Kiamesha Lake and Patricia Ditto of Hallandale, FL; four grandchildren: Danielle, Kimberly, Nicholas and Jonathan; eight great grandchildren; and a twin brother Joseph. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a granddaughter: Crystal Rose Nipitella.
Family & friends are invited to gather on Friday, January 30 from 5-8pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 31 at 11am at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Broadway and Liberty Street in Monticello with Fr. John Tran officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Liberty.
