Obituary of Thomas P. Champagne

Thomas Champagne, 59, of Wurtsboro, passed away on January 13, 2015. He served in the United States Air Force and retired from the United States Postal Service after 22 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Champagne Sr.; brothers Charles and Richard Champagne; and grandson Ronald Champagne.
Tom is survived by his children; Gillian Champagne Kuchar, Richard Champagne, and Lesley Champagne Batt; mother Alverta Champagne; siblings Walter Champagne Jr., Kathryn Nickerson, Patricia Champagne-Coutant, and Paul Champagne; grandchildren Kaylynn, Sophronia, and Adelynn as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will take place on Friday, January 16 from 4-7pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. His funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 17 at 2:00pm at the Community Church of Wurtsboro, 134 Sullivan Street with Rev. Robert Meyer officiating. Internment will follow at Sylvan Cemetery in Wurtsboro.
