Marla Ree "Squirrel" Maxwell of Monticello, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at home surrounded by her family and friends. She was 42.
The daughter of Claudine Walker Maxwell and the late Frank Maxwell, she was born January 4, 1971 in Monticello.
She is survived by her mother: Claudine Maxwell; a daughter: Tiykiah Anatole; a son: Tiyshan Maxwell; a granddaughter: Alanie; her siblings: Rosalind Koen, Rickie Morgan, Rodney Morgan & his wife Sigrid, Quam Maxwell & his wife Tana, and Janel Maxwell Rivera & her husband Rafael; her maternal grandmother: Estella Walker; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends: Joyce Neils and Avila Outlaw.
Family & friends are invited to gather on Friday, March 15 from 5:00-7:30pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Her funeral service will be held on Friday evening at 6:00pm at the funeral home.
