Margaret Ann Meier, "Peggy" of Wurtsboro, a homemaker and longtime resident of the area, died October 14, 2014 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. She was 83.
The daughter of the late George T. Eppig and Rita A. Miller Eppig, she was born May 21, 1931 in Chicago, IL.
Peggy was a graduate of St. Agnes High School in Rockville Centre, and the Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School in NYC and later worked as a secretary at BBDO Advertising Agency in NYC. She was the niece of Cardinal George Mundelein, archbishop of Chicago, who baptized her.
She is survived by two sons: Art Meier of Middletown and Donald Meier, at home; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Gordon; a son: Kenneth; and a sister: Rita.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life on Tuesday, October 21 at 11am at the Church of St. Joseph, 149 Cottage Street in Middletown.
