Obituary of Thomas J. Yesulitis

Thomas John Yesulitis of Wurtsboro, a retired parts clerk for General Motors, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. He was 82 and a half. The son of the late Thomas Yesulitis and Victoria Kmiec Yesulitis, he was born November 18, 1930 in Duryea, PA. A Korean War veteran of the United States Navy and National Guard, Thomas loved to RV and do crossword puzzles. He was the widower of Caroline E. Phillips Yesulitis and Bernardine Seamans Yesulitis. He is survived by his children: Linda Siemon, and Mary Suzanne Osterberg & her husband Stephen, Claire Santelli, Thomas John Yesulitis Jr., Cheryl A. Hampel & her husband Charles, Craig Tomlinson & his wife Louise, and Thomas L. Tomlinson & his wife Kathy; 17 grandchildren; a sister: Bernadine Matechak; sisters-in-law: Margaret Gruendel & her husband Ralph, and Alice Alexander & her husband Russell; and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by sons-in-law: David Siemon and Joseph Santelli; daughter-in-law: Marie Yesulitis; step grandson: Richard Siemon; brothers-in-law: William Matechak, and Harry and Robert Phillips; stepson: William F. Tomlinson; and his companion Ruth Solman. Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, March 15 from 4-7pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 16 at 10am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 180 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with Fr. Peter Madori officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Sylvan Cemetery in Wurtsboro.
