Obituary of Susan Mary Butler

Susan Mary (Roesch) Butler, 52, of Woodbourne, died unexpectedly at home on Sunday, August 17, 2014. Born in Middletown, New York on April 30, 1962, she was the beloved daughter of Sheila (O'Brien) Roesch and the late George F. Roesch, III of Middletown. She was a proud graduate of the John S. Burke Catholic High School Class of 1980. She received an undergraduate degree and Master's degree from Fordham University. Throughout her life, she was employed in the service and teaching professions where her generous spirit and great sense of humor were loved and admired by many. Her love of family was unsurpassed and was the most important thing to her. She is survived by her husband Richard Butler of Woodbourne and her beloved children Courtney Butler of Providence, Rhode Island, and Kyle Butler and Kayla Butler at home. She leaves to mourn her devoted sisters Ellen S. Roesch of Albany, Anne E. Dunitz (Jeremy) of Middletown, Carol F. Roesch (Phil Aiken) of Sharon, MA, and her brother Matthew Roesch (Daria) of Rochester, New York. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews who will always cherish many memories of fun and exciting adventures with their Aunt Susan. She will be forever remembered with tremendous love by her family who wish her godspeed on the yellow brick road. Friends and relatives are invited and may call at the United Methodist Church of Monticello, 455 Broadway, Monticello, New York on Wednesday August 20 from 10 am with a service beginning at 11:30 am.
