Raymond W. Clark, a retired New York State Corrections Officer, died Monday, March 4, 2013 at his home in Wurtsboro. He was 72.
The son of the late Charles Edward Clark and Norma Prehn Clark, he was born September 14, 1940 in Brooklyn.
A veteran of the United States Army, Raymond was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the 3rd Ulster County Militia and the NYSCOPBA.
He is survived by his wife: Ellen E. Clark, at home; a son: Raymond Clark Jr. & his wife Jennifer of Tinton Falls, NJ; two grandsons: Aodhan and Liam; two sisters: Patricia Allen & her husband Alfred, and Maureen Faint, all of Iselin, NJ; brother-in-law: Alan J. Bute & his wife Paula of Kenai, Alaska; sister-in-law: Laurie Devore & her husband James of Grahamsville; a special cousin: Alexis Kahn & her husband Robert of Monticello; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, March 6 from 7-9pm and Thursday, March 7 from10am-12pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. His funeral service will be held on Thursday at 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
