Obituary of Sandra Doughty

Sandra Doughty passed away at home with her family by her side on Sunday, April 13, 2014. She was 55. The daughter of Evelyn Armstead Holland and the late Joseph Holland Sr., she was born April 3, 1959 in Monticello. Sandra was a graduate of Monticello High School, Class of 1978. She was employed at Achieve Rehabilitation Facility in Liberty where she was dedicated to assisting the patients there. Her favorite TV show was the cooking channel and she would practice cooking the delicious meals. Sandra was very strong-willed and opinionated, determined to do things her way. She also loved to dance. She leaves to cherish her memories, her sons: Richard Smith of Andmore, OK and Aaron Miller of Liberty; her mother: Evelyn Holland of Monticello; five brothers: Robert Holland (Mae), Kenneth Holland, Michael Holland and Joseph Holland, Jr.. all of Monticello, and Gregory Holland of Peekskill, NY; two sisters: Joann Hargress (Wayne) of Fayetteville, NC and Joyce Holland of Springfield, Mass; one grandchild: Dayvon Miller; Aunts: Rosabell Fore, Odessa Lewis, Olice Williams, Alice Armstead and Marion Armstead; Uncle Leo Armstead (Anne); and a host of cousins and friends. Family & friends are invited to gather on Friday, April 18 from 10:00am to 12:00 noon at the Bethlehem Temple Church, 93 Fairground Road in Monticello. Her funeral service will begin at 12:00 noon at the church with Bishop Mervin Armstead officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello.
