Jesse Limbrett Cox, Jr. of the Bronx, NY passed away peacefully on May 30, 2012 at the Veteran's Hospital, the Bronx, NY. He was 65. He was born to the late Jesse L. Cox Sr. and Artensie Wesley Cox on June 1, 1946 in Bay Minette, AL. Jesse was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces having served during the Vietnam War. He entered the service after attending Alabama A&M University upon completion of service he attended Mercy College receiving a bachelors degree in Management. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Cox at home; his son, Anwar Cox of Brooklyn, NY; his daughter, Tasia Cox of the Bronx, NY; a brother, Dr. William E. Cox Sr. and his wife Lee of Cliffton, VA; a sister, Linda Ellison and husband Mark of Pittsburgh, PA ; four grandchildren, five sisters-in-law, seven brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, April Cox, and his brother, Walter Cox. Visitation will be on Monday, June 4, 2012 from 11am-12pm at the Bethlehem Temple Church, Fairground Road, Monticello. His funeral service will be held at 12pm with Bishop Mervin Armstead officiating. Burial will follow at Sullivan County Veteran's Cemetery, Sunset Lake Road, Liberty, NY. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis , TN or to a charity of one's choice.
