Obituary of Harold Earl Damms

Harold Earl Damms, Jr., a lifelong resident of Sullivan County passed away peacefully on Friday, May 25, 2012 in Bethel, NY. He was 57. The son of Harold E. Damms, Sr. and Lenora Lybolt Damms, he was born March 25, 1955 in Monticello, NY. Harold was a truck driver for Cranesville Block Co. in Liberty, NY. He was a hard worker who loved to be outdoors. He was known as a family man by most and wanted nothing more than to be around them whenever possible. His many children and grandchildren can attest to that. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him, including his beloved pit bull Sasha. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Edwina Georgetta Damms; his sons: Shawn Christoper Damms, Jason Earl Damms, Harold Earl Damms, Jr., Timothy Fuller, Jamie Jobe, Guy Jobe and Brian Resto; his daughters: Shannon Finkelstein, Dawn Stickler, Shelly Wickberg, Sheila Resto and Jennifer Jobe; his brothers: Scott Damms and Roger Damms; his sisters: Kimberly Wingert, Wendy Damms, Cindy Quick, Kelly Decker, Laura McDonnell and Gail Dorsett; 27 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends. Friends may gather on Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 1-3pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. His funeral service will be held at 3pm at the funeral home. Burial of Harold's ashes will immediately follow at Sylvan Cemetery on Route 209 in Wurtsboro.
