Peter Oliwa of Monticello, a lifelong resident of the area, passed away April 30, 2012 at home. He was 46.
The son of the late Stanley Oliwa and Stefania Czarnobaj Oliwa, he was born September 9, 1965 in Liberty, NY.
Peter attended Fallsburg Central School where he attained his GED. For most of the decade of the 80's Peter worked at Giovanni's Restaurant in Monticello. He also briefly worked for Yellow Cab Company in Monticello.
Survivors include a brother, Theodore Oliwa of South Fallsburg.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 7, 2012 at 2:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Fr. John Tran will officiate. Burial will follow at the Liberty Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice.
