Carol Ann Morelli of Monticello, a homemaker and longtime resident of the area died Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the Wilkes Barre General Hospital in Wilkes Barre, PA. She was 70. The daughter of the late Francis Fallon and Marion Lortz, she was born September 5, 1941 in Brooklyn. Carol was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved to cook for her family and friends. She is survived by her husband: Ralph E. Morelli, at home; two sons: Salvatore Morelli & his wife Lisa of Staten Island, and Anthony Morelli; and five grandchildren: Anthony, Stephanie, Amanda, Ralph Jr. and Samantha. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son: Ralph. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 3 and Friday, May 4 from 2-4 & 7-9pm, both days, at the VanInwegen-Kenny Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 5 at 1:00pm at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Broadway and Liberty Street in Monticello.
