Obituary of Ruth Sniffin

Ruth Davison Sniffin, 85, of Reston, Virginia and formerly of New Windsor, NY, passed away February 29, 2012 at the Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, Virginia. She was born in Middletown, NY on April 26, 1926 to Clyde and Anna Davison.
Mrs. Sniffin is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Tuthill of Reston, Virginia and Patricia Avery (Eugene) of Rocky Mount, NC; grandson, Christopher Tuthill (Heather); granddaughter, Jennifer Maresca (Joseph); two great grandchildren; one sister, Fran Steigerwald (Henry) of Jupiter, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Harold Sniffin and a sister, Ethel Kniffin.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, March 9 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Her funeral mass will be then be celebrated on Friday morning at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 180 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with Fr. Peter Madori officiating. Burial will follow at Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery.
