Obituary of Daniel W. Lindsay

Daniel Willis Lindsay of Wurtsboro, a corrections officer at Woodbourne Correctional Facility, died unexpectedly in the Town of Deerpark on Sunday, October 30, 2011. He was 53.
The son of the late Harold W. Lindsay and Betty Wilkinson Lindsay, he was born June 12, 1958 in Monticello.
An avid skier and golfer, Danny was also a repelling instructor for the New York State Dept. of Corrections CERT Team and a member of the Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, New York Chapter #25; and a former member of the Wurtsboro Fire Dept.
He is survived by his wife: Lisa Jeana Caldiero Lindsay, at home; two daughters: Jennifer and Danielle Lindsay, both of Wurtsboro; a step-son: Dillon Caldiero of Livingston Manor; three grandchildren: Saniya Janae Patterson, Tavian David Combs and Giavanna Xiomara Morrison; a brother: Peter Lindsay of Wurtsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, November 3 from 5-8pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. A funeral service will be held at 8:00pm at the funeral home.
