Valerie Rupp, a lifelong resident of the area, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in Forestburgh, NY. She was 62.
The daughter of the late George G. Rupp and Hilda Cobb, she was born March 20, 1950 in Liberty, NY.
Valerie had a love of antiques and enjoyed garage and yard sales. She also had a strong love for animals, especially cats.
She is survived by her longtime companion, George Rupp of Forestburgh; a brother, Albert Rupp of Forestburgh; her son, William Rupp of Middletown; her granddaughter, Jennifer of Stockholm, NJ; brother-in-law, Dave Gregory of Monticello; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends in New York and Springhill, FL.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Linda Gregory.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. with Rev. John Thomason officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of one's choice.
