Obituary of Thomas W. Mitchell

Thomas W. Mitchell of Wurtsboro, a retired truck driver for Graves & Rodgers in Albany, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. He was 62.
The son of Joan Seymour Mitchell and the late William S. Mitchell, he was born May 29, 1949 in Menands.
He is survived by his wife: Kathryn Quick Mitchell, at home; his mother: Joan Mitchell of Menands; a daughter: Amy Mitchell & her longtime companion Jerry Utter of Cornwallville; five sons: Matthew Mitchell of Cornwallville, Kevin Mitchell of Cochecton, James Mitchell & his wife Janet of Smyrna, TN, Patrick Mitchell & his wife Shelly of San Diego, CA and George Simpson & his longtime companion Chris Hadden of Wurtsboro; 15grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a sister: Susan Allen of Colonie; many nieces and nephews; and his dog: Bella. In addition to his father: William S. Mitchell, he was predeceased by his best friend: Spanky.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 15 at 2:00pm at Kathy's Tea Kozy, 158 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to the family would be appreciated.
He will be missed.
